New Mexico Imam Causes Cartoonist Molly Norris to go into Hiding

I lost the race with John finding the Detroit vs. Northern Virginia vs. Buffalo vs. New Mexico connection on this one. He helped me with most of the links.

The religion of peace death-warrant was issued by Las Cruces, New Mexico's very own Anwar al-Awlaki (أنور العولقي), who the New York Daily News calls "charismatic". Interesting note here, the Obama administration has al-Awlaki on a secret Predator drone hit list. He is suspected to be living in Yemen. How would I know about this secret hit list? The Obama administration had the New York Times announce it.

al-Awlaki was also the spiritual leader to several 9/11 hijackers, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, of Fort Hood "isolated act" fame, the isolated incidentist pantybomber Farouk Abdulmutallab of Nigeria, and the Times Square Tea Party Obama Care protester peace loving Muslim with a pending foreclosure bomber.

On the Advice of the FBI, Cartoonist Molly Norris Disappears From View

You may have noticed that Molly Norris' comic is not in the paper this week. That's because there is no more Molly.
The gifted artist is alive and well, thankfully. But on the insistence of top security specialists at the FBI, she is, as they put it, "going ghost": moving, changing her name, and essentially wiping away her identity. She will no longer be publishing cartoons in our paper or in City Arts magazine, where she has been a regular contributor. She is, in effect, being put into a witness-protection program—except, as she notes, without the government picking up the tab. It's all because of the appalling fatwa issued against her this summer, following her infamous "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day" cartoon.
When are the rest of you going to rise up against this? The line that "this is not Islam" is not working any more.

She even retracted her Draw Mohammed announcement:

Shortly after her cartoon was published in April, Norris apologized to Muslims, said she was just joking and asked people to NOT draw Mohammad on May 20. But it was already too late thanks to the internet. The idea went viral and quickly more than 100,000 followers were on Facebook pushing the event.

She also said the wished she had called it "Everybody Draw CEOs of Viacom Day".

What did that get her? A serious enough death threat to have to quit her job and hide. A death threat form a Islamic Holy man from the hardcore left's favorite religion.

Remember the Koran burning preacher from Florida? He didn't burn anything and the death toll is now 19 from Muslims killing people about talking about it or rioting in front of NATO bases over it.

You We elected a president that encourages this type of behavior. He pretends to do something about people like al-Awlaki only as a sideshow and announces it in the newspaper so the terrorists know to hide, if he really has a hit-list for terrorists at all. The mainstream media supports it. They tarnish the reputation of anybody who dares to speak against radical Islam. They have a lot of practice from tarnishing anybody Christian.  Miss Bush yet? At least he let our brave Soldiers do their job without giving away the details of how they were doing it.

I may be a little late to this realization, my eyes opened when radical Muslims were shooting people in the DC Beltway. How was that reported? All over the news people were supposed to be looking for White Supremacists in a white van. Somehow, it was not a story any more when it was discovered they were radical Islamists. Michelle Malkin was one of the few media people who noticed and she was called a racist for it.

Wanting to get murderers off the streets, off the planet and out of our country is not bigotry, it is safety. We are dealing with a religion of a kindergarten playground mindset, but these children in adult bodies have guns and bombs.

When you see something, say something. When you hear something, say something. When you hear people minimizing or condoning terrorist acts let the authorities know and stop associating with them!

Amy Alkon mentioned the Molly Norris situation earlier today.
