Bin Laden threatens France

Bin Laden and Evil Bert
Bin Laden threatens France
The leader of al-Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, has called for the withdrawal of French troops from Muslim lands in exchange for the release of hostages, in an audio message.

Referring to French hostages being held in Niger, the speaker on the tape, who sounded like Bin Laden, says their release depended on moves by their own government.

He says France will pay dearly for its policy in Afghanistan and elsewhere.

"President Nicolas Sarkozy's refusal to remove his forces from Afghanistan is nothing but a green light for killing the French hostages," Bin Laden says in the recording, broadcast on Al Jazeera on Friday.

"We repeat the same message to you: The release of your prisoners in the hands of our brothers is linked to the withdrawal of your soldiers from our country."

This is the second tape that Bin Laden, believed to be hiding in the mountainous border areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan, has released an audio recording attacking French policy and linking the French presence in Afghanistan to the kidnapping of its nationals in Niger.

Burka Ban Passes French Senate 246-1

France's Senate backs National Assembly and bans women from wearing the burka in public

By PETER ALLENLast updated at 8:24 PM on 14th September 2010
Wearing a burka in public is set to become illegal across France after senators passed a nationwide ban.
The country’s upper house voted by 246 votes to one in favour of the measure, although there were a number of abstentions.
This means that a measure banning full face Islamic veils, also including the niqab, taken by the National Assembly, the lower house, in July was ratified.

Now this is Funny! Blog Traffic from Paris

On 12 FEB 2010, someone was poking around this blog from Paris, France (not Kentucky or Texas) using the mpls network.

First, they found the blog through Google, search term: skipoject.blogspot.com.  That this blog as an alternative to the misspelling.  They landed on the December traffic report page:
http://sukiproject.blogspot.com/2010/01/suki-project-blog-traffic-for-december.html
Just some highlights of December traffic, not all inclusive and lingered for 27 seconds.

In no particular order, this user used this search twice:
http://sukiproject.blogspot.com/search?q=skiproject
Which returns nothing and they averaged six seconds between the two hits.

This one is interesting:
http://sukiproject.blogspot.com/search?q=imea+
A weirdo was creeping all over the blog a while back looking for "imchi arabic word" from her office in DC (imchi is phonetic English for the Arabic "go away from me"). Previously, she was looking for her first-middle-last name, daily, even though that was not here either.  Interesting.
