"The new set of documents from the Iraq War, which are low-level reports of violent incidents across the country over a span of several years, are said to total some 400,000 pages in all and will be released soon. And the Pentagon is preparing itself in the event that Wikileaks does not redact the names of Iraqis who have worked for, or have had any sort of contact with American forces in the country. 'We are prepared to take steps to notify people named in the documents,' one Pentagon official told the Wall Street Journal. 'There are a lot of names [in the documents]. "(Washington Post) — A new report, backed by the NAACP, has found what it says are efforts by white nationalist groups and militias to link themselves to the tea party movement. The report, called Tea Party Nationalism, uses news articles, visits to white nationalist Web sites and observance of tea party functions to claim that tea party events have become a forum for extremists “hoping to push these (white) protesters toward a more self-conscious and ideological white supremacy.”

"Amritsar: The Sikh community has appealed to US President Barack Obama, asking him not to cancel his planned visit to the Golden Temple on the issue of wearing a ‘headscarf or cap’ on the temple premises.
The New York Times, citing an unnamed American official involved in the trip’s planning, reports that the president will not stop at the Golden Temple, a Sikh holy site and one of the country’s most popular tourist attractions, because visitors typically wear headscarves, turbans or Muslim caps.
Teams from the White House and the US Embassy have visited Amritsar several times over the past three weeks to assess the arrangements for the visit.
Temple authorities had stated that the US President may wear a scarf or a cap that is worn by Muslims but cannot wear a baseball cap or anything that resembles one.
According to reports, the fear that wearing the requisite headgear might make him appear Muslim.
Obama, who is a Christian, has repeatedly had to fend off accusations that he is secretly Muslim. A poll conducted by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life found that nearly 1 in 5 Americans believe the president is Muslim."

One soldier testified Friday that a non-commissioned officer ordered him to erase two cellphone videos of the attack. While a "mystifying" and possibly illegal request, says Rosen, he hypothesized that it could have been intended to protect the privacy of Hasan's victims.But some critics saw the order as evidence that the government, including the Army, is more concerned about protecting Muslims from backlash from angry Americans than revealing the truth behind how modern jihadi terrorism works. They point to the lack of words like "jihad" or "Muslim" in the Pentagon's official report on the Fort Hood massacre as proof that what they see as watered-down assumptions and hedged judgments about the Islamic threat to the US are hurting, not helping, national security."This rush to remove from our enemy's actions any suggestion of a possible Islamic religious motive reflects this administration's unwillingness to name our Islamist adversaries," writes a blogger at PipeLineNews, a consortium of conservative investigative journalists. Five men were charged with aggravated assault Saturday in the beating of Ali Ahmed Mohammed in front of a club at Ninth and U streets NW where the men worked.
Mohammed died early Friday at a hospital.
All five men were released after a court proceeding Saturday and were placed in a high-intensity supervision program, which includes electronic monitoring.
About 60 supporters of the men went to the hearing at D.C. Superior Court, cramming the courtroom and filling the hallway outside. Attorneys for two of the men said they were innocent and criticized D.C. Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier for calling the incident a "savage" case of "vigilante justice" Friday.
Mohammed, 27, tried to enter DC9 early Friday but was turned away at the door. He became angry and threw at least one brick through the nightclub's front window, witnesses told investigators.Aggravated assault, after this guy threw bricks through the window of a crowded nightclub. As if Chief Lanier would have even doen the slightest thing to this guy if he had gotten away.
