Come on Barry Hussein-O, put on the tea towel and enjoy the temple and other news
| President B. Hussein Obama looks at a rifle in satirical photo. |
"Amritsar: The Sikh community has appealed to US President Barack Obama, asking him not to cancel his planned visit to the Golden Temple on the issue of wearing a ‘headscarf or cap’ on the temple premises. Why would anybody think he is Muslim? Malik, his 52 year-old half-brother, now has his third wife, 19 year old Sheila Anyango. The Sikhs and muslims really do not get along very well. Deciding to use the tea towel defense could be a clever ploy by B. Hussein Obama to shore up ties with his radical islamic allies around the world. Or, maybe he just does not like going to anyplace called a Temple?
The New York Times, citing an unnamed American official involved in the trip’s planning, reports that the president will not stop at the Golden Temple, a Sikh holy site and one of the country’s most popular tourist attractions, because visitors typically wear headscarves, turbans or Muslim caps.
Teams from the White House and the US Embassy have visited Amritsar several times over the past three weeks to assess the arrangements for the visit.
Temple authorities had stated that the US President may wear a scarf or a cap that is worn by Muslims but cannot wear a baseball cap or anything that resembles one.
According to reports, the fear that wearing the requisite headgear might make him appear Muslim.
Obama, who is a Christian, has repeatedly had to fend off accusations that he is secretly Muslim. A poll conducted by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life found that nearly 1 in 5 Americans believe the president is Muslim."
Elsewhere in the world, via Perez Hilton:
This is so scary!
On the front page of a Ugandan newspaper, the country's 100 "top" homosexuals were listed, along with a bright yellow banner that reads, "Hang Them." It also includes a photo and their addresses.
How long will it take the "Bush did it" crowd to link this to the Bush administration funding AIDS prevention in Africa?Four men have been attacked since the paper was published and many others are now in hiding. But this is not new for the conservative African country! A lawmaker introduced a bill last year that would have imposed the death penalty or life in prison for homosexual acts.

Osama Bin Laden Liberaltarian tape on relief work: 'Stop fighting me with armies and spend your money elsewhere'
"In the 11-minute undated tape, Bin Laden expresses concern over natural disasters and calls for more aid for victims, said intelligence group Site.Translation: Stop fighting my people with your military and spend your money on something else.
The tape shows a still image of Bin Laden and scenes of people in disaster zones receiving aid.
The tape would be Bin Laden's first public comments since March, but its authenticity has not been confirmed.
In it, the voice says more people are affected by climate change than wars and appears to refer to recent flooding in Pakistan.
'The catastrophe (in Pakistan) is very big and it is difficult to describe it,' he says.
'What we are facing... calls for generous souls and brave men to take serious and prompt action to provide relief for their Muslim brothers in Pakistan.'"

Of Cowering White Liberals and the most Juvenile Religious Segment Ever Invented
(Updates at the end)
First, they came for the people who opposed a bunch of questionable characters building a Mosque at Ground Zero, Manhattan and all who objected were labeled 'racists.'
Really? That was first? Well, pretty close to first. Next they came for the Florida minister planning a bonfire of Korans. That one has to be second, nothing else of note was between.
This is the face of Islam under siege in a post 9/11 world. This is a siege? According to some, yes. Let us not forget that Americans may be slaughtered if the oxidization process of this paper pile is accelerated, according to a high-ranking uniformed liberal. Why? Because Middle-East and Central Asian Muslims are the biggest babies on earth, that's why.
Of course, this is the way any religious person would act when their holy books are intentionally destroyed, right? Hows about we takes a look at a few other items:
North Carolina Church burned non-King James Bibles in 2009. What was the body count from that? Zero?
How about a burning Bible video from 2007 -
What? Nothing has happened with that? No way!
Burning bible video from 2008 must have ruffles some feathers of the religion and gun clutching set.
No?
Another video of Bible burning, this one with a catchy title that should have swept the internet like wildfire:
Lots of casualties from that one?
Maybe Bible burning is in a Holy loophole somewhere, like burning soiled American flags. Surely heads would roll and body parts would fly if someone shot a bible with a gun, right?
Wrong. No marching in the streets, no fits, no fights. Nothing like when Newsweek lied and people died.
So, just what is all this fuss about, especially from religion hating liberals? Quite simply, Western White liberals are a bunch of fradiae-cat pansies that like to lump people together in odd categories. To them, all Asians are yellow, all Republicans are White, all Muslims are "people of color" and everybody who is not White and/or Christian is oppressed by White Christians. We can skip the Jews for a moment until the liberals need some mysterious bully to explain why there is no actual evidence for their position.
A big one with liberals is Africa being a nation, rather than a continent. At least that is the way they use "African" much of the time, the same way everybody else uses "Irish". This is a key concept to grasp, since they seem to think all Muslims are from the Middle-East. Maybe those are the only Muslims liberals care about, making the rest invisible. Actually, they are not invisible. They just aren't causing trouble like the Middle-East Muslims.
Something both Rush Limbaugh and David Horowitz have observed over the years, the left really does not care who their allies are, as long as those allies hate either America or Western Civilization. Thus, the bomb making, Jew exterminating, USA attacking, French car burning Muslims are pals of the liberal. And by liberal, I do not mean people like me and my friends who enjoy erotica, wish for the day when drugs are legal (even if we don't plan on doing any) and would rather not get married before enjoying sex with others. I am talking about the liberal left, Socialistic, Nazis with speech codes and an unquenchable self-hate for their own countries.
What about these "moderate Muslims" we all keep hearing about? Those would be the ones that Arab Muslims call "monkeys" and go around killing in greater numbers than they kill non-Muslims.
Back to the White liberal, another pet thought of theirs is that everybody in the South USA owns a gun (or arsenal), a Confederate flag, goes to Church, lives in a trailer, Southern cities are trailer parks, makes moonshine, is always barefoot unless at a wedding, married a close relative and prefers to have sex with a willing sibling. If someone meeting that description is not located in the South, then they are just a redneck. There must be a lot of rednecks at Reason magazine, the biggest online and print advocate of close-relative intercourse.
Remember all those riots when Confederate flags were burned? That's okay, I don't either. The liberal will tell us that never happens, even though it does. Don't miss the next event! Here is an article about it from the Leftist mind. See Red State for a sane take on that one. I hope someone from the press is keeping the body count stats beginning Sunday.
Some think that burning an American flag and flying a Confederate flag are "similar in many ways" (my count of similarities is zero, not quite the same as many, IANAL).
So, enlightened, delicate readers, when will burning the Koran be as popular as burning the Bible? When will burning the Koran be as 'patriotic' as burning flags?
Been to any good stonings lately? Discuss.

This is a contract issue,' said Goodgame, who added he did not know how long it had hosted the church's sites. Not quite the same thing, but would Kurt Westergaard's cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad also violate Rackspace's AUP? How about Christopher Hitchens' Slate articles? Could articles from one-time Rackspace poster child The Onion pass muster?"

"The arrests were enforced by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) after carrying out searches of two residences on the Ottawa's west side and officers said they were executing more searches and would carry out more arrests.
The arrest of Misbahuddin and Ehsan Ahmed came after police had kept them under surveillance for over two years in a project codenamed 'Operation Samosa'.
Though the RCMP released no names or identities of the suspects, but sources confirmed their names as Misbahuddin and Ehsan.
They said Misbahuddin Ahmed, who was categorised as ringleader, is believed to have been trained in Pakistan and Afghanistan and investigations involved a 'bomb plot'.
'These guys were doing more than just talking about terrorism. They were planning it,' a police source was quoted as saying by the Vancouver Sun newspaper." . . .
This is the second major terror plot to be unearthed in Canada since 9/11. In June 2006, a group of young Muslim men dubbed as 'Toronto 18' were rounded up and prosecuted for planning to attack downtown targets and a military base.Suki series tie-in: In the 2030's Iran is behind most of this and the world goes to war with them in Suki IV: Finally A Vacation.

Fun with Reason's Morning Links: Obama's Muslimness
Expect B. Hussein Obama to blitz Christian Churches of every stripe, most Sundays and maybe Wednesdays, from now until Novembeer 2012. - John Tagliaferro*
If you are not familiar with Reason's Morning Links, you haven't been reading Suki's posts much. I don't remember the last time I posted anything about them. However I do read them regularly.
After Reason's barrage of Ground Zero Mosque (stories that had little or nothing to do with libertarian issues), that seemed like months but was probably just a few days, my annoyance level has been elevated. Today's morning links diffused that a bit when I spotted one to have some fun with: New poll: One in five Americans believes Barack Obama is a secret Muslim. Unfortunately, Rush was talking about this for over an hour (he is talking about it again now) and I just got to it after hearing his take. I did hear about the poll long before Rush's show came on the air.
What would be the libertarian take on this bit of electorate confusion? I know the Libertarian issue: Barry Hussein Obama is not Bob Barr, the small L issues are many.
First, something Rush observed that dovetails with mine: It really does not matter what Obama's religion is. Unless you are a member of a religious party in the US, it really should not make any difference if he is in a Christian sect, a Muslim sect, Jewish or none of the above. It probably matters greatly to Cosmotarians, in some shallow and meaningless way, but to those of us who value freedom of choice, his personal choices matter not one bit to us.
Rush played some MSNBC audio from a Pew Research Center representative who was being interviewed about the survey. I am going to start with the Washington Post article that Radley Balko linked to. Remember his title? One in five Americans believes Barack Obama is a secret Muslim. In the first paragraph, the Post informs us that this is an increase since B. Hussein Obama entered the presidency. Now that is the makings of a headline! Obama has had more air time in a few months than any other president since television was created. No telling how many internet eyeballs he gets. He is mentioned on this blog regularly too. We report, you do what you want.
So, on the social issue, fit for Entertainment Tonight or the 700 Club (is that still on?) more and more people believe Obama is a Muslim. Soon after the Post informs us that this is a trend, they mention that it could be a political problem! "Rising trend in Obama's Supporters Percieving Him as a Muslim could be a Reelection Problem" might sound a little better and more accurate, but the Post article does not mention Democrats and runs off into 'mean media' conspiracy theory for an answer. For some reason, they mention only Republicans and Independants:
First, I had to dig up the Pew results, since neither the Post nor Reason bothered to link there. From their headline and first paragraph, it is a bit of a stretch to say "one in five" since they cite 12%:
What could possibly explain all this? Rush pointed out, he does not attend services like other presidents have. I will add that Bill Clinton only went Church crazy when he was well on his way to his impeachment hearings. Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush and Bush did not need any prompting to attend and made no secret about attending. Maybe something in Obama's actions is giving people these impressions?
George Stephanopoulos tried to help him out, but a copy of the interview floating around does not help:
Looks like about 1:20 into this clip.
How about other factors? Like running to the rescue of the "Allahu akbar" shouting MAJ Hasan, to the point that command influence may be a major defense strategy. Maybe it is how he jumped into the Cordoba/Project 51 Mosque/recreation center issue? Maybe it was when he gave NASA a new mission, to stop exploring space and help Muslims with math and science? How about all that bowing? Skipping the National Day of Prayer? Phoning in his address to the Boy Scouts? Sending the Ground Zero imam on a vacation at tax-payer expense? The only thing the Post can blame on talk radio is the tendancy for them not to ignore these things like the Post and MSNBC tend to do.
*I have heard similar from others already today.

For some reason, they mention only Republicans and Independants:
More than a third of conservative Republicans now say Obama is a Muslim, nearly double the percentage saying so early last year. Independents, too, are now more apt to see the president as a Muslim: Among independents, 18 percent say he is a Muslim, up eight percentage points.Note the interesting phrasing. For Republicans, the percentage doubled in a year. For Independents it went up eight percentage points to 18%. Pretty much double there too. What of the Democrats?
First, I had to dig up the Pew results, since neither the Post nor Reason bothered to link there. From their headline and first paragraph, it is a bit of a stretch to say "one in five" since they cite 12%:
A July Pew Research survey found 12% of Americans continue to say Barack Obama is Muslim, virtually unchanged from 10% in March. This misperception is not limited to voters who oppose Obama. Identical percentages of Republicans and Democrats (12% each) think he is Muslim, and 37% of those who think he's Muslim intend to vote him. A quarter doesn't know, but significantly those who have heard different things back McCain (48% to 33%) while those who just don't know back Obama (48% to 33%).Ah, Democrat perceptions are identical to Republican and rising at the same rate. I like my headline better :)

‘Let me be clear,” Pres. Barack Obama said at Friday night’s iftar dinner at the White House before making what nearly everyone took to be a deeply felt endorsement of the Ground Zero mosque. “Obama Strongly Backs Islam Center Near 9/11 Site,” was the New York Times headline. The definitive article on Obama's latest meaningless string of words.
“As a citizen, and as president,” Obama said, “I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country. That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances. This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable.”
With the backlash already in full swing, President Obama “clarified” his remarks on Saturday, saying, “I was not commenting, and I will not comment, on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there. I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding.”
If this was his meaning all along, he could have stipulated on Friday that he wasn’t taking a position on “a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan” and saved the headline writers at the New York Times and every other newspaper in the country from being misled.

For the Record: My View on Property Rights
I am generally against zoning regulations, but I am sure there are instances where they could be fair to the property owner. I just cannot think of any. If you don't like what your neighbor is doing with their property, as long as it is staying on their property, then buy them out or look the other way.
Big cities should not be such a difficult hurdle to apply what is stated above. I am not so Libertarian as to believe we should not have public roads or utilities rights-of-way either (as my esteemed blog partner has argued for over ten years that I have known him).
As for the so-called "Ground Zero Mosque", that whole issue is a mess. First, I do not begrudge the insensitive Islamic assholes who decided to name the place their right to put a mosque on their own property (btw, Mohammed sucks too). I do have an issue with New York City and Mayor Bloomberg (who sucks almost as much as Mohammed) turning their convoluted zoning laws upside down in order to pave the way, in record time, for this project. This is the only time in his reign as Mayor that Bloomberg has given so much as a nod to individual property rights. If I suspected this was any sort of epiphany on the part of the Mayor, I would be applauding. In this case, I am just waiving a finger.

Back to the Muslim assholes naming this monstrosity the "Ground Zero Mosque", they have as much desire to bring the various 'sides' together as the people of the Westboro Baptist Church do, and lesbians probably have just as much of a chance to be married in either location, after gay marriage makes its way through the courts. Part of property rights is property responsibility. Being a good neighbor is in there somewhere.
I blame the nanny-state mentality as much as anything else for the decline in neighborliness. When the government started pretending that they would take care of everything, many individuals decided that they would take care of nothing. Even worse, if their neighbor was not doing what they wanted, they get the police power of the government to attack their neighbors into submission.

Rant over. Build what you want on your own property, don't be an ass and government, GET OFF MY YARD!
The above are my personal views. I blog here as the primary character development assistant for the Suki book projects. If you are interested in character attitudes about this topic, browse books ;)

"I ♥ Sharia" by Radley Balko
Read this quote and tell me if it is any sort of advocacy for removing constitutional protections from anybody in the USA:
A. When you get your information from Left-Wing hacks.
Let me go on record that I am wearing as little or as much as I feel like wearing (tastefully for the activity, of course) and I am in charge of my body, not some man in a tea towel. And I VOTE!
As soon as my bod is like this, my version of modesty might match hers too:

"Now, you know, I'm all about freedom of religion. I value the First Amendment as much as I value the Second Amendment as much as I value the Tenth Amendment and on and on and on," he said. "But you cross the line when they try to start bringing Sharia Law here to the state of Tennessee -- to the United States. We live under our Constitution and they live under our Constitution." - Tennessee Lt. Gov. Ron RamseyQ. How does that translate into this? "Tennessee Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey says Muslims may not deserve First Amendment protection."

This is not related to any of the topics, and I'm not sure if anyone posted it yet but:
Libyan leader declares “Jihad” against Switzerland. At least we will have the entertainment value of left wing intellectuals trying to argue that this is blowback for their foreign policy.
In addition to a boycott, he wants Muslims to go to airports and prevent Swiss planes from landing. How are they supposed to do that exactly? I suppose it is good that he is at least not advocating actual terrorism (it didn’t work out too well for him last time).
Note: The video mentions the Swiss Minaret ban. I am strongly opposed to all human rights violations perpetrated in the name of Islam (or any other religion). However, I fail to see how building a Minaret tower on one’s own property is a human rights violation. I therefore consider the ban to be an unnecessary restriction on architectural freedom which I’d have opposed were I a Swiss citizen. It is a trivial issue however, and not something I consider a rational reason to boycott the country or get worked up about Swiss planes landing.
