MSNBC Swears to Allah that Obama's Not A Muslim - HUMAN EVENTS:

"What McConnell actually said in response to the Muslim question was: 'The president says he's a Christian. I take him at his word. I don't think that's in dispute.'

Over at MSNBC, that's Republican code for: 'He's a Muslim!'

North Korean TV's Ed Schultz hysterically babbled: 'McConnell gave cover. That's what he did. He gave cover to all those low information voters out there who still believe this garbage about President Obama being a Muslim. ... The Republican leadership just loves to feed the fire.'

Chris Matthews was so impressed with Schultz's nonsensical argument that he spent the entire hour on NKTV's 'Hardball' making the same one: McConnell had expressed insufficient fervor when he said he believed Obama was a Christian! (Perhaps if McConnell had added something about a thrill running up his leg ...)

The statement 'I take him at his word,' Matthews said, was a 'pitch-perfect dog whistle to the haters.' He continued: 'Yes, sure, whatever he says. Right. This is not about belief. It's an accusation that President Obama is not one of us. The right wing's attempt to de-Americanize the president.'"

Ann Coulter dropped from conference over speech to gay group:

"The conservative website World Net Daily.com (WND) announced Wednesday that it was canceling a planned keynote address by Ann Coulter next month at its 'Taking America Back Annual Conference' because of her decision to give a paid speech before a gay conservative group.

Coulter was hired to speak at the GOProud conference, a meeting of homosexual political conservatives, on September 25.

WND editor in chief Joseph Farah said a statement on WND's website, 'There is simply no room [at the WND conference] for compromisers or for people who accept money from those determined to destroy the moral fabric required for self-governance and liberty.'

'They hired me to give a speech,' Coulter told Farah when asked about the appearance, 'So I'm giving a speech. I do it all the time.'

Coulter, who writes a weekly column for WND.com, said the decision to drop her from the conference was 'silly.'"

Someone finally wrote a good article on 'torture'

Sorry, creepy bugs do not make it to the level of torture for me either.

I really liked this one:

As the torments were gradually increased, next up the interrogation ladder came "walling." This involves pushing the terrorist against a flexible wall, during which his "head and neck are supported with a rolled hood or towel that provides a C-collar effect to prevent whiplash." 


People pay to have a lot rougher stuff done to them at Six Flags Great Adventure. Indeed, with plastic walls and soft neck collars, "walling" may be the world's first method of "torture" in which all the implements were made by Fisher-Price. 


As the memo darkly notes, walling doesn't cause any pain, but is supposed to induce terror by making a "loud noise": "(T)he false wall is in part constructed to create a loud sound when the individual hits it, which will further shock and surprise." (!!!)
