Updated: Wheaton Metro Closed Again - Non-Electrified Escalator

I suspect Catwoman The Plot Thins:

UPDATE 8:36 a.m.: A Metro spokesperson tells ABC 7 News the escalators at the Wheaton Metro station were not electrified, as previously reported, and there was no danger to passengers because the power was out. After an extensive interview with the mechanics who worked on the escalators, a Metro spokesperson says the mechanics claim they never told Metro customers that electricity was running through the escalators, which is why they were out of service in the first place. The elevators were also out of service at this time.

"Update 6:20 p.m: Adding to the woes at the Wheaton Metro Station today is Metro's announcement that the entire station is closed. Just in time for rush hour, too."

14 September 2010: On the air this AM, Courtney Robinson reported that the escalator was electrified and the elevators were inoperative. The potentially lethal station was closed again, just in time for rush hour. See update at the top.

"UPDATE 6:56 a.m.: Fairfax County police have confirmed they are investigating a homicide.

UPDATE 6:28 a.m.: Fairfax County police say the shooting is not a home invasion and appears to domestic in nature.

ABC 7 News reports it's possible that two men and a woman were living in the residence, located at 6810 Field Masters Drive. A neighbor says her daughter heard a woman scream around the time the shooting took place.

The residential neighborhood appears to be very quiet and is located nearby Orange Hunt Elementary School.

Police say this was a targeted attack and that there's is no apparent danger to residents in the area.

No word on any suspects or a motive in the shooting."

WJLA TV 7, Washington, DC Sucks

 Someone just put the morons at the DC ABC station out of my misery. They do not deserve electricity.

I have been attempting to watch the NASCAR Bristol race since the third lap, around 8:00 PM tonight.  What have I seen? Damn near nothing.  THIS IS THE ONLY STATION IN DC THAT CANNOT BROADCAST OVER THE AIR LIKE A REAL TV STATION!

No shit, what is this, some little pirate OTA hacker operation or something?  Is the transmitter a modified 1970's Heathkit rig?

I am just a couple of miles away, in Crystal City. Every other station in the area comes in fine.  Even the Spanish language NTSB stations.

The Indy 500 was the same way earlier this year.  There was heavy wind that day, so I thought that was a problem.  Watched it on cable or satellite in a bar. No problem.

What the hell is the problem today? Unless it is a commercial, all I get is a fucked up, pixilated mess.
