Suki series tie-in: In the 2030s, I imagined protests like this happening in Northern Virginia when drivers who decided to self insure incurred large liabilities for driving recklessly in Virginia and lost their homes and other property after causing property damage and injuries.  DC and Maryland activists accuse Virginians of having a "plantation attitude" toward the other side of the Potomac.

"'The guys over at the Volumique blog have a different idea as to how to tackle apps for Apple's devices. They aren't just thinking about a digital activity on such devices, they are experimenting with using physical objects through Apple's multi-touch screens. Imagine being able to buy the playing pieces for a board game, but then loading up an app on your iPad for the actual board. The pieces would be recognized when placed on the iPad's screen, it would even recognize which direction they were facing. This may sound like an impossible feat unless you use a much more expensive device like Microsoft Surface, but Bertrand Duplat and Etienne Mineur at Volumique already have it working.'"

Marietta, GA Mosque Arsonist Arrested - Murphreesboro, TN Mosque Construction Site Vandalized

Kristallnacht? Mosquenacht? Torching of the Bundestag comparisons can't be far behind in the MSM.

Feds Investigate Arson At Future Mosque Site - Nashville News Story - WSMV Nashville:

"A piece of construction equipment was set on fire Friday night while others were drenched in gasoline.

According to the Daily News Journal, Islamic Center officials said it appeared the arsonist was scared off during the act, and fled the scene before more damage was done.

Police are investigating to see if it's a hate crime. Back in June, someone beat and broke the sign at the future site off of Veals Road.

Previous to that, someone spray painted the words 'Not Welcome' on the sign.

Middle Tennesseans for Religious Freedom will hold a candlelight vigil in front of the Rutherford County courthouse on Monday at 7 p.m."

See the WSMV site for more incidents and video. Whatever the motivation, I call it a crime. At a stretch, the burning bulldozers could be a copycating attempt inspired by a new scene in the movie Avatar. Even if this is so it does not make James Cameron an accessory.

Right now, there is not enough reported evidence to draw any conclusion of who is behind these illegal acts of private property destruction. Hundreds of miles away in Marietta, GA, an arrest has been made in a Mosque arson there.

Tamsir Lucien Mendy

MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) -- Officials say a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged with setting fire to a Marietta mosque he had attended.

Marietta fire marshal Scott Tucker said Thursday that Tamsir Mendy was arrested Wednesday night and charged with first degree arson at the mosque, which caught fire Monday night. Tucker says Mendy is being held without bond.

Tucker says Mendy describes himself as a devout Muslim who had attended the mosque. Tucker didn't characterize a motive but says it doesn't appear to be a hate crime.

Tucker says the arrest is "a bit of a surprise" to members of the mosque, who had expressed concern that the fire might be hate crime.

Tucker said earlier that the fire did about $100,000 worth of damage.
