Sorry, not getting this controversy. Sesame Street is pulling this video from their show because Katie Perry is not dressed appropriately? I don't get it, I don't get it.

Bristol Palin on Dancing With The Stars

Couldn't find a still of Katie's hem, but it is a little longer than Bristol Palin's outfit and I don't see a reason for anybody to make a fuss over it either:

Back in olden times I guess they were not so stuffy. Before I was born, Rita Moreno was wearing about the same as Katie.

I was expecting something with leather or a BDSM theme at least. We don't even get to see what shoes she picked for that outfit.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The nightmare began with a party: three teenage girls with a webcam, visiting an Internet chatroom and yielding to requests to flash their breasts. A week later, one of the girls, a 17-year-old from Indiana, started getting threatening e-mails.

A stranger said he had captured her image on the webcam and would post the pictures to her MySpace friends unless she posed for more explicit pictures and videos for him. On at least two occasions, the teen did what her blackmailer demanded. Finally, police and federal authorities became involved and indicted a 19-year-old Maryland man in June on charges of sexual exploitation.

Federal prosecutors and child safety advocates say they're seeing an upswing in such cases of online sexual extortion. They say teens who text nude cell phone photos of themselves or show off their bodies on the Internet are being contacted by pornographers who threaten to expose their behavior to friends and family unless they pose for more explicit porn, creating a vicious cycle of exploitation.

Series tie-in: Although minors sharing personal porn is still illegal, 2030's society in general is much more transparent. People are constantly recording and sharing every manner of personal antics. Couples frequently share their home security video of their first time, even if it is a one night stand.

The age of puberty is declining for girls, with more girls developing breasts by age 7 than in years past, according to a new study.

Ethnicity plays a role in earlier puberty, says researcher Frank M. Biro, MD, director of the division of adolescent medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati. So does body composition.

'We found that girls who are African-American matured before whites, and that's been shown in several studies,' Biro tells WebMD. 'White girls are maturing earlier than they had before, compared to 20 years earlier.'

In his study of 1,239 girls, 10% of whites, 23% of African-Americans, and 15% of Hispanic girls had breast development indicating onset of puberty by age 7, Biro found.

A big YEA for Hollywood!

'Pirates 4' and the search for natural breasts: Standard practice for period projects

There has been a buzz building around the news that Disney is looking for actresses with natural breasts for their upcoming Pirate movie.  From the story at the link, it is standard practice for period pieces, which is cool.  Especially cool for my natural sisters out there in actress/model world :) but I digress.

What struck me was that there was even a buzz about it, as if someone discovered 'the next new thing: Natural Breasts!' and others climbed aboard the smaller cup train for the amazing ride.  In John's Suki Series books he writes of the near-future society paying a premium on natural people.  When we were discussing that aspect he had the idea that surgical and genetic modifications would be come the norm and natural would be exotic.

Judging from this buzz, it sounds like he is on the right path.
