Shotgun Note in Suki IV: Finally A Vacation

In Suki IV: Finally A Vacation, Suki buys a 14" barrel Benelli semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun with a four-inch chamber without any more documentation than her government issued identification cards. This is all legal in the future that I am writing, no extra taxes either.

Suki Series on Google Books

All three Suki books can be browsed on Google Books. Suki II is fully readable and downloadable there. Suki I and Suki III are 30% browsable.

Links at the Project Site.

Suki IV is about 50% complete. The coalition is just now crossing the Iranian border and most of the Iranian civilian leadership has been captured or killed.

Excellent Post Suki

I was reading and commenting on this earlier, see the comment thread.

Thanks for fixing up a new profile too.

The lovely Quyen translated some English to Vietnamese for me today:

Mai greets Suki in Vietnamese:

Mai: Xin chào Cộ Suki. Chào mung bạn đến với van phong ching tội
(Hello Suki, welcome to the Officer's Club)

Suki: Xin loi, tio khong nới tieng viet
(Sorry Miss, I don’t speak Vietnamese)

Matt Welch makes a most excellent commentary on the racism hysteria and that bullshit post-9/11 anti-Muslim hate

The Race War That Isn't
Media anxieties over "lynch mobs" and "brownshirts" demonstrate a telling lack of faith in contemporary America

Key passages:

I remember very well the last time America was gripped with panic over impending
racial violence. It was in the fall of 2001, after 19 Middle Eastern hijackers,
mostly from Saudi Arabia, pulverized the World Trade Center and ripped a gash
into the Pentagon, murdering nearly 3,000 people while trying to massacre
several times more.

. . .

But a funny thing happened on the way to the Arab-American lynching: not bloody
much
. A Sikh gas station owner was murdered in Mesa,
Arizona. A Hindu temple was firebombed in Matawan, New Jersey. Reports of
harassment and non-deadly violence briefly spiked up. Each was awful enough, but
as a tapestry of violence it fell far short of the widely predicted wave of hate
crime. Americans, derided as "hateful" bigots by the likes of Kingsolver, and
revenge-minded rubes by those with better manners, were not only opting out of
vigilante violence, they were cramming
bestseller lists
with musty old books about Afghanistan and the Middle East.

Finally have music for the first SCIF sex scene in Suki IV

My fine erotic chat and office building smoking section buddy, Ms. S, dredged up Bad Word for a Good Thing by The Friggs for the scene where Suki 'interrigates' John in their SCIF after the consulting crew has sent all of their solutions for disrupting the Iranian logistics system to the Israeli, USA, French and Italian commandos hidden throughout Iran in preperation for the invasion. I actually have the CD.

Now to finish the scene. My proof-reader Danielle says I need to make the anticipation part of those longer.
