Rally at Fort Hunt Park, VA?

Via WMAL just now, there is a rally for gun rights at Fort Hunt Park, touted as the closest place to DC to legally carry firearms.

This map says different.

Ft. Hunt is about 11 miles from DC.  Public areas in Arlington County are yards from DC!  Not sure if it is now legal to carry in federal parks or not yet, but even walking up to the edge of the federal property around GW Parkway in Arlington or Alexandria is closer than 11 miles from DC.  Like I said, yards away.  Note where the DC border is.  It is on the Virginia side of the river.

New York Terrorist Raid NOT in Buffalo!

Flushing, Queens, New York? They are branching out.

Residents in Queens were witness to an FBI raid Monday morning, as agents
flooded the area looking for explosives. Neighbors stood by as a large group of
FBI agents and NYPD detectives converged on an apartment building as point of a
joint terrorist task force.

The NYPD says one of the residences is located on 147th Street between
Parsons and 41st Avenue in Flushing, Queens.

I should cease being amazed, but I won't any time soon.

Sitting in a very nice restaurant, at the bar, for about three hours I have had:

Several people come in, sit close to me and my smouldering cigarette, pick up the large paper menus and "waft" my smoke away. No shortage of seating in non-smoking, father down the bar, at tables in the same area, or in the non-smoking establishments of Ted's Montana Grill and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

A party of four who seemed to think the stools are bolted to the floor, who had to "butt" some guy right against me, while there was plenty of room to their left.

A group of women behind me, who decided the one of the greatest girth had to sit in the aisle right behind me, so everybody passing had to climb my back.
