Black History Month is Herman Cain Playing the Race Minstrel for CPAC « SpeakEasy by Chauncey DeVega
In the immortal words of Megatron in Transformers: The Movie, Herman Cain’s speech at CPAC really is bad comedy. As you know, I find black garbage pail kids black conservatives fascinating not because of what they believe, but rather because of how they entertain and perform for their White Conservative mastersIt only gets worse from there. Go read it for yourself. Here is another peek:
We always need a monkey in the window, for he/she reminds us of our humanity while simultaneously reinforcing a sense of our own superiority. Sadly, there are always folks who are willing to play that role because it pays so well. After having an opportunity to retract, this little worm of a monster posted this:
Why I Stand By My Criticism of Herman Cain -- Even As Right-Wingers Attack Me (Chauncey DeVega)
AlterNet contributor Chauncey DeVega responds to attacks from Breitbart and other right-wingers for his criticism of conservative presidential hopeful Herman Cain.

Editor's Note: On Feb 14, writer Chauncey DeVegapublished a post on AlterNet assessing the CPAC performance of Herman Cain, a right-wing potential presidential candidate, in strong and provocative language. Since then, both he and AlterNet have come under attack by right-wing media. Below, DeVega (a pseudonym) responds.
At its core, politics is a projection of our collective fantasies and wishes. What are our hopes, dreams, wants, and desires for our community? How are they embodied by those individuals whom we choose to elect into office and whose causes we champion? This little racist troll/worm/slug stands by his original racist, ugly statements because he is of the liberal media and does not need a white hood to be openly racist. When he was called on his bigotry, he lashed out with more bigotry.
This is truly amazing. The circles these people must live in are so abnormal compared to what I am used to from Richmond, VA or even up here in south NJ. Does he send his articles in from some undeveloped country where Black people are required to act a certain way to keep from being chopped up, like Haiti or The Congo?
What is the difference between him and Michael Richards?
Nothing, even if DeVega is heavily pigmented. Well, one thing. Richards apologized.
