Egyptian Soldiers Save CBS Reporter Lara Logan after Sexual Assault and Beating

I wanted to write up something about this, but Pamela Geller said mostly what I wanted to say and better.

"60 Minutes" correspondent Lara Logan was repeatedly sexually assaulted by thugs yelling, "Jew! Jew!" as she covered the chaotic fall of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo's main square Friday, CBS and sources said yesterday.

"Freedom-yearning young Egyptian role models? Not so much. 

CBS chief foreign correspondent Lara Logan was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a '60 Minutes' story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy. 

CBS reportage on this is ... interesting. Logan was brutally raped for a sustained period of time. I find their mealy-mouthed reporting appalling. Imagine if this were ..... Israel. Or a tea party.

Very good points. The MSM has to imagine racism and violence for tea party events. Their constant need to be offended, combined with their pathological hate for anybody who disagrees with them, erupts against peaceful freedom supporters like Israel and the tea party while they give violent rape mobs a pass.

She was saved by 'a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers.' Color me skeptical, but methinks it was more soldiers than women."

My first thought too.

"(CBS) A mysterious missile launch off the southern California coast was caught by CBS affiliate KCBS's cameras Monday night, and officials are staying tight-lipped over the nature of the projectile.

CBS station KFMB put in calls to the Navy and Air Force Monday night about the striking launch off the coast of Los Angeles, which was easily visible from the coast, but the military has said nothing about the launch.

KFMB showed video of the apparent missile to former U.S. Ambassador to NATO Robert Ellsworth, who is also a former Deputy Secretary of Defense, to get his thoughts."

"CHICAGO (CBS) ― A permit has been denied to open a mosque at this site in West Rogers Park, where a hot dog restaurant previously stood.

It is an empty restaurant in the West Rogers Park neighborhood. Some wanted to turn into a mosque. Business leaders and the city apparently don't agree. CBS 2's Vince Gerasole reports.

It sounds a bit like the controversy over the proposed mosque in New York near where the Twin Towers fell. Perhaps at first glance, but not when you scratch beneath the surface.

We're hearing from the local chamber of commerceand alderman's office that the city has denied a special use permit that would allow a mosque to replace a shut down hot dog grill.

It's based on the need to generate tax revenue on the former site of the original Fluky's and later U Lucky Dawg, at 6821 N. Western Ave."

Another problem with zoning. Different than New York where a the runaround for a Church to rebuild is nearing the decade mark. This time it is Chicago refusing to allow a mosque due to some zoning excuse.

In the future, zoning is on its way out.

Dan Rather loses bid in CBS lawsuit

The short story:  CBS fired Dan Rather and paid him the rest of his contract to get rid of him.  Then Rather sued them for even more money, even though he got paid and went off to shows that nobody watched.

Now, the loser loses again: No soup for you!

They needed to go through a whole court shebang for this?
