Let's play count the letters with two prominent American politicians.  In one corner, we have former US Senator from the Delaware delegation and now Vice President, Joe Biden giving the audience a lesson on how many letters the word "jobs" contains:

"Take your fucking tampon out . . ."

In the other corner, we have former Democrat House member of the Illinois delegation, former Chief of Staff for the Obama Administration and current candidate for Mayor of Chicago, who has a thing about wanting tampons removed before people address him.  The topic is the number of letters in the word "jobs":

Conclusion: Democrat Jews count better than Democrat Gentiles.

No wonder UPI is in the shape they are in. One of the allegedly missing phone calls is supposed to be with Rahm Emanuel. UPI is the only news org that does not mention this.

Mayoral Poll 72% Want Emanuel on Ballot: Chicago Retail Merchants Association (CRMA)

Currently, Rahm Emanuel's eligibility status to run for Mayor of Chicago is in question. The case is now before the Supreme Court of Illinois.

"Nearly 72 percent of respondents say Emanuel's name should be a choice on the Feb. 22 mayoral ballot while 23 percent say it should not.

Assuming Emanuel's name does appear on the ballot, the poll found Emanuel favored by 52 percent of respondents, an increase of nearly 8 points since the December 20 poll. His closest rival, former school board president Gery Chico, garnered 14.4 percent while former Senator Carol Moseley-Braun received 11 percent. Emanuel's lead of 37.5 points is well outside the poll's margin of error of 2.05 points. About 16 percent of voters were uncertain who they would vote for, nearly unchanged since December."

The Illinois Supreme Court has ordered Rahm Emanuel's name back on the Chicago mayoral ballot pending a possible hearing of an appeals court ruling, the Chicago Sun-Timesreports, quoting Emanuel's attorneys.

Translation: his name is being printed on the ballots again, but he may not be in the election.

The court ruled that Emanuel did not meet the residency requirement for eligible candidates.

Some people think the rules are only for the "little people." One of Emanuel's more famous quotes:

Emanuel only apologized to the retards, not to the liberals.  Later, the knee-jerk left attributed the non-PC usage to Rush Limbaugh when he quoted Emanuel.

"On what is reportedly Rahm Emanuel's last day as White House chief of staff, the Council of Economic Advisers presented him with their going-away gift.

'This is a dead fish!' Emanuel said, according to ABC's Jake Tapper. The dead fish is a wink and a nod to Emanuel's intimidating management style. As The Post's Howard Kurtz put it in his analysis of the media's response to Rahm's rumored departure, 'With Rahm ensconced at Obama's side, no one wanted to cross him, at least in the press. They might get a dead fish in the mail or something.'"

Does Rahm Emanuel Meet Residency Requirement for Chicago Mayor's Race?

A discussion on the Roe Conn show, about Chicago residency requirements for running for office, this hour is quite interesting.

The basics:
You must be reside in Chicago for twelve months before the election. The requirement is different than for voting in Chicago, Illinois. Voters need only be registered to vote there and have an address there, even if they are away from the city, like in Washington, DC. However, there is a law (specific citation not given) that has been on the books since the 1800s requiring mayoral candidates to actually live in Chicago for 12 months before the election. There was some discussion of the terminology in the law.

"WASHINGTON---White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel--expected to step down this week to launch a run for mayor of Chicago--tried and failed to persuade his tenant in his Chicago home to move out so Emanuel could move back in, reports my Sun-Times colleague Michael Sneed.

Here's my update, from a souce (sic) close to Emanuel: 'It's clearly an inconvenience for Rahm and for the current tenants--but it is what it is. That said, as this news has spread in Chicago, Rahm has received some really great offers on places to stay.'

Emanuel rented his North Side Chicago home from Sept. 1, 2009 to Sept. 1, 2010--and signed an extension until June, 2011 just six days before Daley announced on Sept. 7 that he would not seek another term.

Reports Sneed: The tenant, Robert Halpin,' who described himself as an industrial real estate developer in the midst of heading to Louisville on business Monday, told Sneed: 'Look, according to the lease I am not allowed to speak to the media about the house.

'But I can tell you I have no plans to move.'"

The city requirement seems to be fulfilled with regard to the residency requirement. He owns a home in the city, had voted absentee and has maintend status as a resident working out-of-town.
