Who is going to see Avatar [again or first time]?

Saw the original release and have the disk set (BluRay stays by the TV, the regular DVD is in my laptop). I am not one of those Avatar fans who is going to buy a 3D Television just to watch this movie when those disks come out (are they out yet?). I plan on seeing the re-release of Avatar this weekend, hopefully in 3D. Who is with me? Anybody planning on seeing it for the first time?

International Release Dates

The buzz is there is going to be more about Tsu'tey Death.

My earlier review of Avatar here, John's review there, a little extra from John here. You can catch me on NaviBlue on occasion, in the forums.

No Avatar discussion is complete without the feather question (which is so completely different and relevant than any Blade Runner mystery).

Maybe he can be the first customer at the proposed Ground Zero gay bar, right next to the proposed Mosque? (link to announcement)

Update: Interesting additional incidents. This is not a new technique:

Burqa-Wearing Bandit Baffles Detectives Oct. 18, 2007

Authorities in North Carolina don't know whether they are looking for a man or a woman in the search for a burqa-wearing bandit who walked into a bank Tuesday and pointed a gun at a teller before exiting with a bag full of money.

Burka-wearing gunmen raid French bank 08 Feb 2010

Employees let the pair through the security double doors of the banking branch of a post office, believing them to be Muslim women. But once inside, the men flipped back their head coverings and pulled out a gun, officials said.

They seized 4,500 euros (£4,000) in cash, according to staff at the branch in Athis Mons, just south of Paris, and made their getaway.

Gunman disguised in burka and sunglasses robs cash courier May 06, 2010

A gunman dressed in a head-to-toe black burqa and sunglasses robbed a cash courier in a shopping centre car park. The courier had just withdrawn a large amount of money from a bank yesterday when he spotted two men following him, Australian police said.

Interesting article by Amy Alkon that leads right back to the Ground Zero Gay Bar. It is about how gays are treated under Islamic law.

Obligatory tie in: A theme throughout both Suki series is voyeur cameras everyplace tracking people of interest wherever they go. In 2030's USA there are restrictions on law enforcement  using evidence from them in court, but individuals use them like mad.

Iranian facing stoning speaks: 'It's because I'm a woman' | World news | The Guardian

Iranian facing stoning speaks: 'It's because I'm a woman' | World news | The Guardian:

In an exclusive interview with the Guardian, the woman whose sentence of death by stoning triggered an international outcry has accused the Iranian authorities of lying about the charges against her to pave the way to execute her in secret.

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, 43, was sentenced to death by stoning for adultery but it was commuted to hanging after an international outcry. Her initial sentence was for 'having an illicit relationship outside marriage' but Iranian officials have claimed that she was also found guilty of murdering her husband and should still face death by stoning.

In the interview, which took place through an intermediary who cannot be named for security reasons, she said: 'They're lying. They are embarrassed by the international attention on my case and they are desperately trying to distract attention and confuse the media so that they can kill me in secret.'
