Notice anything interesting about the following links? They are the top ones from a Google News search for St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Manhattan:
Leading article: Mr Obama stands up for tolerance |
(mainstream UK news, does not mention the Church at all)
Mosque Moves Forward, Yet Church in Limbo |
St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, which once sat right across the street from the World Trade Center, was crushed under the weight of the collapse of Tower Two on September 11, 2001. St. Nicholas was the only church to be lost in the attacks, and nine years later, while City of New York officials are busy removing every impediment to the building of the Cordoba mosque two blocks from the site, St. Nicholas’ future remains unclear.Human Events is not that mainstream.
God and Man at Ground Zero |
The one Suki blogged and Hot Air is not exactly mainstream either.
Church Near Ground Zero Asking For Attention |
Up at the top, the paid news links, a Washington Post article comes up, by accident, because a blog commentator mentions the St. Nicholas Church that was destroyed by Muslims in Europe. Interesting parallel to the one destroyed by jihadists Muslims in Manhattan.
Here is the scoop. The arrogant controllers of power in New York City have been preventing the reconstruction of the Saint Nicholas Church for almost ten years. As soon as a questionable imam wants to put a "cultural center" within stoning distance of Ground Zero, every zoning obstacle is removed and they get the green light. Then Obama sends the questionable imam on a federal paid world tour to raise an additional $100 million for the project.
The Greek Orthodox project, on the other hand, already has pledges and donations from around the world and are ready to build, as soon as they get permission from Big Brother.
Too bad, in the eyes of Big Brothers Bloomberg and Obama, "zoning fairness" means Muslims first, at government expense.
